About
Honey & Chi grew from a lifelong relationship with healing, service, creativity, and community.
Where It Began
Vesta K. Walker is the daughter of a legacy.
Mental health professionals. Herbalists. Energy workers. Creatives. Community caretakers. She grew up watching healing happen in everyday life.
Her mother was regularly sought out by members of the community for herbal remedies. Her Rastafarian father emphasized the importance of natural living and the healing power of music. And her grandmother a psychiatric nurse of more than 25 years maintained a regular caseload of individuals and families she counseled for free from a workspace in their home.
Vesta absorbed these examples long before she had language for what they were teaching her:
Healing can be practical. Healing can be communal. Healing can take many forms.
Those early experiences planted the seeds that would eventually become Honey & Chi.

The Professional Path
Sixteen years ago, Vesta began her career as a Clinical Social Worker. Since then, she has worked with people across some of the most challenging environments supporting adults and adolescents nationally and internationally, including individuals navigating significant trauma and adversity.
Her professional and personal exploration has continued beyond traditional clinical practice through training in Reiki, Supreme Science Qigong, EFT/TFT, and other holistic and embodied approaches. Across these experiences, one belief has remained central:
There is no single way to heal, grow, or become well.
The most meaningful approach is one that recognizes the uniqueness of the person.
The Question Behind Honey & Chi
Over the years, Vesta’s work with people and her own life experience led her to a deeper question:
Her own journey brought another realization. For a long time, she pursued vitality without fully understanding the importance of sweetness.
She understood strength, movement, discipline, growth, and energy but not always how those qualities could coexist with softness, nourishment, pleasure, receptivity, and enjoyment. Eventually, she recognized that these weren’t opposing forces. They were partners.
What actually allows us to enjoy being alive?
After witnessing so much suffering, particularly through her work with trauma, she became increasingly interested not only in how people heal from suffering but in what helps people experience vitality, connection, meaning, pleasure, and aliveness.

The Meaning of Honey & Chi
Honey represents sweetness. Chi represents vitality.
Nourishment.
Pleasure.
Receptivity.
The richness of being alive.
Life force.
Movement.
Energy.
Aliveness.
Not sweetness without vitality.
Not vitality without sweetness.
But a dynamic relationship between the two.
That relationship became Honey & Chi.

What Honey & Chi Has Become
Today, Honey & Chi is a space for exploring what it means to live as a whole human being. It brings together Vesta’s background in psychology and mental health with her continued exploration of embodiment, energy, spirituality, consciousness, creativity, and intentional living.
The work is ultimately about more than healing. It is about developing the capacity to experience, participate in, and enjoy your life more fully. Because being well isn’t only about surviving what you’ve been through.
It’s also about becoming available for what life has to offer.

Beyond The Work
For more than a decade, Vesta has also been engaged in humanitarian and community development work in West Africa. That work reflects another thread running through her life:
Healing is personal but it can also be communal.
She is currently working toward building a community center in West Africa a vision she has carried since childhood. Honey & Chi and this larger vision are connected by the same belief: We are not meant simply to survive life.
We are meant to participate in it.
-
To experience it.
-
To create within it.
-
To enjoy it.

The Honey & Chi Philosophy
Sweetness + Vitality
Honey & Chi is an invitation to explore the dynamic relationship between the things that nourish us and the things that animate us. Between softness and strength.
Rest and movement.
Receiving and doing.
Reflection and action.
Healing and living.
The goal isn’t to choose one.
It’s to learn how to move between them.
Come home to yourself.
